When a candidate says they are Pro-Choice or other vague term, are they really an ally?

Are they Pro-Choice for political expediency or are they an advocate?

Are they simply passive on early termination and will compromise on harder cases? Are they willing to stand for all rights allowed since Roe vs. Wade or will they compromise and allow inroads?
